Getting started

  1. Install — .deb + systemd (Ubuntu) or the MSI / Chocolatey package (Windows). Install never auto-arms DHCP.
  2. First-run wizard — in the web UI: create the admin account, pick the network interface, define a subnet, and run the rogue-DHCP check.
  3. Start the engine — explicitly start lighthoused from the UI.
  4. Watch leases — the dashboard shows pool utilization, NAK rate, and engine health; the leases view lets you search, release, and annotate.
